How to prevent skin infections at the gym
- Always wear shoes or sandals,especially in locker rooms and shower.
- keep any cuts on body clean and covered
- choose moisture- wicking loose fitting clothes
- Disinfect equipment before and after using it
- Add on extra barrier between your skin and shared surfaces
- Wash or sanitize your hands immediately after working out
- Shower as soon as possible
- Put on clean clothes
- if you Notice any signs of an infection such as pain,swelling, pus or persistent redness, see your dermatologist as soon as possible
