How to prevent skin infections at the gym

  • Always wear shoes or sandals,especially in locker rooms and shower.
  • keep any cuts on body clean and covered
  • choose moisture- wicking loose fitting clothes
  • Disinfect equipment before and after using it
  • Add on extra barrier between your skin and shared surfaces
  • Wash or sanitize your hands immediately after working out
  • Shower as soon as possible
  • Put on clean clothes
  • if you Notice any signs of an infection such as pain,swelling, pus or persistent redness, see your dermatologist as soon as possible
